Application administrators, users who need to understand and maintain a MaxDB installation.

Voraussetzungen

Basic computer literacy. Understanding of SQL fundamentals is useful.

Inhalt

• Find and effectively utilize resources such as the MySQL website, the online reference manual, mailing lists and others
• Understand the fundamentals of relational databases and the client/server concept
• List the major features of MaxDB
• Perform a MaxDB installation on Windows or Linux
• Use the graphical clients to connect with the MaxDB server and execute commands
• Perform a backup, recovery and check routine
• Handling database monitoring and the addition and settings of data and log volumes
• Understand the advanced server features like High Availability, Snapshots and MaxDB Eventing
• Have the ability to handle optimization tasks, like understanding memory areas and locks Understand and use the Database Analyzer tool for checking how a MaxDB instance can be improved
